This is the perfect summer jam, made with Tinda cucumber and tartar sauce.
It’s easy to make, it tastes great and it’s so much fun to make!
You’ll need a lot of ingredients, and there are many different ways to make it. 1.
Tinda cukes 1 large cucumber 1/4 cup water 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon baking powder 1/8 teaspoon baking soda 1/16 teaspoon salt (optional) 2.
Cucumber jam ingredients:1 cup Tinda jam (you can substitute sweetened condensed milk)1 cup plain flour 1 cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup vinegar2 tablespoons sour cream, or to taste 2 tablespoons sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt2 tablespoons butter (or olive oil) Method:Mix all ingredients in a bowl until it’s smooth.
Pour into a greased 9×13 pan and cover with cling film.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
(Optional) Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes, or until the jam turns opaque.
If you’re using a 9×12 pan, place it in the oven at 350˚F for 45 minutes.
(If you use a 13×17 pan, remove from the oven after 15 minutes and remove from heat.)
Remove from the pan and cool on a rack for 10 minutes.
This is a very good summer jam to serve alongside sweetened or condensed milk jam, or sweetened and condensed milk sauce, and other summer jams.
It’s also great with butter, and can be made with any other combination of ingredients.
