You can make a delicious zesty dressing from any of the most popular vegetables in the world.
But the best ones will need a little help from the sauce that you make with it.

You’ll want to first create a simple and basic sauce.
If you’re making a sauce for a savory dish, then a simple chili pepper sauce will do.
But if you’re trying to make zesty salad dressing or for use with a pasta dish, or if you want to make an amazing chili sauce for pasta, then this is the sauce you need.
Here are some of the key ingredients you’ll need to get started:1 tbsp olive oil1/4 cup vinegar1 cup tomato paste1/2 cup onion paste1 tbsp salt1/8 tsp ground cumin1/6 tsp chili powder1/3 cup chopped parsley1/16 tsp garlic powder1 tbsp honey2 tbsp water1/5 cup chopped cilantro1 tbsp chopped basil1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon zest, for garnishHow to combine all of the ingredients and make a spicy chili sauce:Add olive oil, vinegar, tomato paste, onion paste, salt and chili powder to a large bowl and add a dash of cumin.
Add garlic powder, chili powder, parsley, salt, pepper and honey.
Whisk until well combined.
Stir in the water and salt and whisk well to combine.
You’ll probably need to add more vinegar if you have a stronger tomato paste or more water if you’ve got a stronger vinegar.
To make the zestiness, combine vinegar, lemon juice, honey, vinegar and the vinegar mixture in a small saucepan over medium heat until the mixture begins to thicken.
Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low.
While the sauce is simmering, mix together the tomato paste and onion paste.
When the sauce thickens, add the parsley and basil.
Once the sauce has thickened, add in the cilantro and lemon zests and mix well to coat the tomatoes, onions and basil in the sauce.
Once the sauce starts to boil, remove from heat and add in your cilantro.
Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently.
This sauce can be made ahead and reheated in the microwave.
If you want, you can also make the sauce ahead and refrigerate it until ready to use.
You can then reheat the sauce in the refrigerator for an even longer lasting sauce.
The sauce is great to use with pasta or pasta dishes.
