By default, most people think of roasted potatoes as a healthy alternative to cooking on high heat.
But they’re actually a good choice for people who need to cook with their hands, but also want a quick and easy way to prepare food in a pinch.
Here’s how to roast your own potatoes, beans, and carrots:1.
Choose a Pot or JarYou can choose between the standard 2-quart pot and the 8-quart version, but the bigger pot is easier to handle and the smaller jars are cheaper.
You can also get the 2-liter version, which is also cheaper.
A 2-Liter Jar costs $3.99, while a 1-Liter can be found for $6.99.
If you’re planning on making a large pot, the 4-quart is ideal, as it’s easy to clean and holds a lot of food.2.
Cut the Pot and Jar1.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit2.
Place the potatoes and beans in the bottom of the jar and pour water over them, using a wooden spoon to mix them together.3.
Place a 1/4-cup of salt in the middle of the lid of the pot and cover it with the lid.4.
Cook the potatoes for about 6 minutes, then turn them over, flip, and cook for another 5 minutes.5.
While the potatoes are cooking, pour the broth into the pot to thicken it up.6.
Add a bit of salt to the water to taste and let it simmer for a minute or two.7.
Add the roasted vegetables, and let the vegetables simmer for about 10 minutes until the vegetables are soft and golden.8.
Remove the lid and allow to cool completely.9.
Transfer the vegetables to a plate and top with shredded cheese and a slice of red pepper.10.
